When losses due to theft, pilferage, or shrinkage occur in hospitals, two of the major areas to be concerned about are receiving and materials management. Whether the losses are due to employee theft, mismanagement, shipper theft or collusion between several persons, the end result is the same, critical fiscal resources are needlessly being wasted.
