THE PROFESSIONAL SECURITY OFFICER

SP707                      VERSION 3.0    Copyright  2000              16 Minutes

 OBJECTIVE:    Officers will be given the information necessary to help them define "Professionalism" and describe what they have to do to be a "Professional."

A neat appearance, a helping attitude, knowledge of one's job, and a public relations-oriented spirit significantly contribute to successfully communicating that one is a security
professional.

After this training, the officer should be able to:

   state at least two ways that the security officer can, via their own effort,
                          increase his or her technical knowledge of the security profession;

  describe the elements of behavior that contribute to the impression
                           that people get of a security officer;

    list five behaviors which are not conduct that an officer
                                               should engage in while on duty;

  describe the importance of officer awareness of and
                                                     skill at customer relations;

    state why an officer's written report reflects back on the officer;

   define in simple terms what is a profession.

               This Program is an absolute  "must"   for viewing
                                     by every security officer.

               The handouts for this program are provided on a single diskette so that you can create a "new"  master copy any time you want. You can customize these materials to your program. The only restriction is that you can't copy this diskette or give any other site or organization access to its contents and you must always leave the copyright footer on every page.
