 APPLICATION: An introductory program explaining to all officers the key concepts involved in the decision to use force.

The NUMBER ONE objective of this training program is to " make it clear to every officer being trained,  how force can and cannot be used.

Security officers must be intimately familiar with the laws of their individual jurisdictions as well as company or client practices. This video presentation clearly explains to the officer the moral and legal aspects of the use of force.

Upon completion of this videotape the security officer should be able to:

    state a simple definition of reasonable conduct;

    state in their own words their understanding that deadly force
             cannot be used in the defense of property;

    state a circumstance where each of the following might be correctly used and
            a circumstance where their use would be incorrect:
                 
 Baton
Chemical Agent
Firearm
Handcuffs
 Physical Restraints.

In addition, special attention is paid to discussions of basic legal issues of restraint, assault, battery and un-lawful arrest.
