APPLICATION: This DVD is designed to be shown to persons who might receive a threat, search for a bomb, or make the decisions regarding response to the bomb threat. All three presentations are on a single cassette.


  PART ONE:
"THE THREAT"
Part one is best used to train anyone who might get the call on how to take a telephone bomb threat. Among the issues and techniques covered in part one are:


   how to speak to the caller; 
      how to document what's said; 
   key questions to ask;           
                       the next step after receiving a threat;
                         some of the major mistakes that people
                               memory, prejudice and factors that confuse.
                                                                         

PART TWO:
"THE BOMB SEARCH"

Part Two is for training Security or others who might be asked to search for a bomb on what to look for & how to do a basic and safe search. The tape addresses:

   detail about types of bombs;
    detonating devices;
   how to conduct a search;
    procedures to be followed to increase search team safety;
    procedures on discovering "a something".


PART THREE:
"THE DECISION PROCESS"

Part Three is a brief illustration of how one company's leaders analyzed a bomb threat and decided on action. It allows the viewer watch an administrative team analyze a bomb threat in terms of their location, local labor conditions, potential targets and response options. The example used shows a company with very little time to respond.
