This
videotape is designed to look at one tiny part of the supervisory process,
discipline. Since each security company or department is bound by different
state and local statutes, union or company policies and agreements, there is
no attempt by this program to recommend specific levels of disciplinary
action. Such quantitative responses to circumstances must originate locally.
In
order to apply local policies however, the security supervisor is well served
to understand that discipline is not punishment. It is a process.
This
tape shows the supervisor how to really use the discipline concept in terms of
real world problems.
