Too
often, officers have done their jobs well and then when it is time for the
case or issue to be heard, it seems like the offender or person for whom the
hearing is held is a better witness than the officer.
This
videotape has been developed to provide security officers with knowledge and
skills related to the operation and function of the courtroom or hearing
environment as it relates to their place in the process.
The
behavior of the officer before, during and after courtroom testimony is the
major point of focus. The officer is prepared to be a competent, honest and
believable witness.
This
program covers the major elements of courtroom/hearing behavior, antagonistic
attorneys, how to answer questions and other real-life components of being a
truthful and effective participant in the legal or administrative process.
